Welcome to The Historic Glenn House

Completed in 1883 and lived in by the David Glenn family until  1915, The Glenn House is a restored historic museum in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Open seasonally, the home is an example of the Victorian (1860 - 1900) period lifestyle that includes the architecture, furnishings, clothing fashions, and more of the period.

The Glenn House is an historic treasure; a place that allows visitors an opportunity to visit a world inhabited
by earlier generations whose way of life were different from our own.

The upstairs was recently refurbished with period paint colors and wallpapers. If you like Victorian architecture and some local history, it's definitely worth a visit!

It's a trip back in time, and worth the nominal fee to tour it. Be sure to see the carriage house in the back, and enjoy some refreshments and music there during the holiday season.
